Baldur’s Gate 3 early review: Modern fantasy

Baldur’s Gate 3 is the long-awaited new installment in the popular fantasy role-playing game series based on the Dungeons & Dragons universe. Developed by Larian Studios and published by WotC, Baldur’s Gate 3 features a massive new game world to explore, filled with rich stories and characters. The game is set to release later this year, but there have been several “Early Access” reviews available, and so far the feedback has been mostly positive.

The Early Access reviews focus mainly on the game’s lengthy single-player campaign, “The Five Riders of Baldur’s Gate”. The Early Access reviews have also noted the game’s impressive visuals, with photorealistic graphics and enhanced animations delivered through Larian’s advanced Divinity game engine. From the dynamic weather and day/night cycles to the breathtaking views of a fully industrialized city, there’s something truly special about Baldur’s Gate 3’s visual presentation.

Overall, the Early Access reviews for Baldur’s Gate 3 have been very promising, which makes it one of the most anticipated fantasy RPGs of all-time.
