Legendary actor Keith David is set to take on the role of Destiny 2’s beloved Commander Zavala. The news was announced during the most recent GuardianCon charitable event hosted by Bungie, the developer behind the popular game franchise.
Commander Zavala is a Titan Vanguard who is tasked with protecting the survivors of the Last City of Earth, as well as providing strategic and tactical advice to the game’s Guardians. He is the most experienced and respected of the Vanguards due to his vast experience combating the many threats facing the City.
David, who is well known for his role in the iconic horror film The Thing, will join the voice cast of Destiny 2’s voice acting cast. His addition will provide a unique and powerful element to the game and help fuel the ongoing conflict between the Guardians and the game’s various enemies.
David had this to say: “I’m excited to bring Commander Zavala to life in Destiny 2. He’s an inspirational and courageous leader and I’m proud to get the chance to portray such an iconic character.
