Forza Motorsport won’t have split-screen, AI races, or spectate mode at launch

With the highly anticipated launch of Forza Motorsport racecar driving game just around the corner, many anticipated the new game to feature a wide range of new features and updates. Unfortunately, it looks like Forza Motorsport will be missing some fan-favorite features at launch.

Specifically, the game will not feature split-screen, AI races, or spectate mode when it launches. This news came as a disappointment to racing fans, as these three features have been staples of the franchise for years.

Split-screen mode allows two or more players to race or compete against each other on the same screen, and it was a fan-favorite for local co-op play. AI races, or computer controlled cars, allowed gamers to compete against AIs in timed and race trials, allowing players to practice and hone their skills without the added pressure of real competition. Spectate mode allowed players to watch races, sharing the ongoing action with friends and followers.

That said, Forza Motorsport still has a wealth of exciting new features, including a realistic simulation mode and manual transmission mode. The game also boasts a new physics engine that has been optimized for both console and PC. Furthermore, players can now customize their race cars with an arsenal of over 70 unique parts and components. All of this is designed to bring the ultimate racing experience to players.

Thankfully, it appears that many of the missing features may be added in the near future. The developers have expressed their intent to prioritize bug fixes and optimizations for launch, with more content and features coming down the line. Still, it’s a shame that some of the most classic features of the franchise will be missing at launch.

For now, racing fans will have to wait and see if the beloved split-screen, AI races, and spectate mode are eventually rolled out to Forza Motorsport. Until then, players can rest assured that the new game will still be the ultimate racing experience, fitness classic features or not.
