The long awaited Assassin’s Creed Mirage game is set to be released a week earlier than initially planned. Fans of the popular franchise have been eagerly awaiting the game’s release, with Ubisoft announcing news that the launch date has been moved to 12th June.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the sixteenth game in the series, and the first developed by Ubisoft Singapore. It will be the first game of the series that is built entirely using the powerful AnvilNext engine. Players will be taken into the world of Revolutionary France as Mara, a young Assassin rogue, as she seeks revenge on those who have wronged her and her loved ones.
The game’s writer and director, Annik Faurie, has been talking about the game’s development and how they came to the decision to launch the game a week early. Annik said: “We’ve worked hard to bring Assassin’s Creed Mirage to life. The game has been in development for the last two and a half years and after extensive testing, we wanted to invite more players to join us as early as possible.”
Players will investigate the mystery of the Assassins that has been shrouded in secrecy, while fighting a powerful new enemy — the Order of the Ancients. This ancient force threatens to unravel the very fabric of society, and players will have to put their stealth and fighting skills to the test in order to restore balance to the land.
In addition to revolutionary France, the game will also feature locations from across the globe. Those locations include Sicillian Shores and the Caribbean, as well as an unexplored part of London.
The beautiful visuals of the game have been praised as among the best in the series, and gamers can expect thrilling, action-packed gameplay. It will also feature a brand new soundtrack, made up of some classic tracks from the game and some brand new compositions.
Ubisoft has made it clear that Assassin’s Creed Mirage is one of its highest priority releases. This move to start the game’s launch earlier confirms this, so it can start getting into the hands of gamers as soon as possible. With the release date now being only a week away, there’s no doubt that avid fan and new players alike will soon be exploring the mystery of Mara on their favourite platforms.
