It was recently announced that gamers will soon get to enjoy Batman: Arkham Trilogy on Nintendo Switch. This acclaimed action-adventure game series developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will be released on Nintendo’s hybrid console on 16th September 2020.
The game series consists of three entries, all of which explore the violent underbelly of Gotham City and feature the story of its legendary protector, Batman. The first title, Batman: Arkham Asylum, which was released in 2009, put players in the shoes of a disturbed Batman, forced to confront terrifying inmates and deploy his otherworldly skills to uncover unsettling secrets that will test his sanity.
The second instalment, Batman: Arkham City, was released in 2011 and took players on an even bigger quest. This game found the Dark Knight in a walled-off prison where he must face the madman, The Joker, and an entire criminal underground. The game also featured interesting characters such as Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and Penguin.
The finale to the trilogy, Batman: Arkham Knight, was released back in 2015 and takes place one year after the events of Arkham City. This game featured a bigger battle than ever before with the introduction of the Scarecrow, who is determined to always be one step ahead of the Dark Knight.
Now the trilogy is headed for Nintendo Switch, and players can look forward to merging all of these classic titles into one big package. With the hybrid power of the Nintendo Switch, this game series promises to provide captivating and challenging gameplay experiences never seen before.
The game also features multiple levels of difficulty for players of all skill levels, from the hardcore to those who just want to experience the thugs-and-thrills world of Gotham City. Gamers can also collect unlockable challenge maps and use the exclusive Batwing, Batmobile, and other gadgets from the Arkham series.
