Hulu has recently announced that one of their biggest original streaming releases of the year, “Prey”, will be getting a physical release. This means that fans of the psychological horror will be able to get a physical copy of the movie, and watch it anytime they want.
“Prey” is a psychological horror film written by director Michael Rasmussen and co-directed by Shawn Rasmussen. It stars Logan Miller, Kristine Froseth, and Terry Serpico and follows a group of college students who find themselves in a strange and deadly situation. Filmed in Thompson, Manitoba, the movie is set in a remote cabin, and has the students facing off against a strange force that is hunting them one by one.
The movie was released exclusively to streaming platform Hulu at the start of 2020, with positive responses from viewers and critics alike. The film was praised for its intense atmosphere, and its unique approach to the horror genre. Now, Hulu has announced that “Prey” will be getting a physical release so that fans of the movie can own a copy of their own.
The physical copy of “Prey” will feature two discs, with the first disc containing the film itself in both 2D and 3D Blu-ray versions. In addition, the disc will feature over two hours of special features, including deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes interviews with the cast and crew, and a never before seen alternate version of the film. The second disc will contain even more special features, including cast and crew commentary, and exclusive extras.
For fans eager to get their hands on a physical copy of “Prey”, there is no set release date yet. However, it’s likely that the release will occur sometime in the coming months. In either case, this announcement means that more people will be able to experience the movie’s intense atmosphere, in the comfort of their own home.
