Alan Wake 2 receives 10-day delay

After months of eager anticipation, Alan Wake 2 has received a ten-day delay for its release. Fans of the classic psychological-thriller franchise have anxiously followed the development of the sequel, and while the news is certainly disappointing, developer Remedy Entertainment has announced that the delay is necessary in order to ensure a high-quality experience for those playing the much-anticipated release.

Alas, the new delay pushes the release date from March 26th to early April. While the release date change represents a small disturbance in the timeline, the news comes following a lengthy silence from Remedy Entertainment, and should remind fans why Alan Wake 2 is worth the wait.

The majority of Alan Wake 2’s production has been shrouded in secrecy, with Remedy’s vetoed attempts to reveal any leaks or details ahead of time. Fans will be looking forward to the sequel with justified anticipation, as previous installments have been credited with breaking boundaries in the psychological thriller and horror genres. It’s not all suspense, however, as rumors have circulated of the game’s light-hearted personality, massive map size, and robust customization options.

The official explanation involves additional time needed for polish, bug-fixing, and general quality assurance, and Remedy confirms that the game is in a near-complete stage of development. While fans naturally want the game to play as intended without any complications, it’s refreshing to know that the developers are not rushing to put an unfinished product onto shelves.

We can only hope that Alan Wake 2 meets and surpasses all expectations, but at least fans of the franchise can count on Remedy to bring us a high-quality experience with the final release.
