X glitch wipes out most pictures and links tweeted before December 2014

We have all encountered some kind of technological glitch at some point in our lives, but this recent glitch has been especially unfortunate. It has been reported recently that an Instagram glitch has caused all photos, links, and events posted before December of 2014 to disappear.

This has been a huge issue because many people have lost memories, milestones, and achievements that have been captured in the form of a moment or photo in the past five years. For many, childhood memories, graduation pictures, or a cherished selfie have been wiped off the internet.

This glitch has been caused due to an error in the Instagram algorithm, causing it to not recognize posts prior to 2014. This is an especially unfortunate glitch for those who have curated digital memories spanning up to five years of their lives, especially if those memories cannot be retrieved. The inability to capture the same moment, for example, will create a sense of nostalgia for many – a moment that no longer exists in its original form.

Fortunately, Instagram has announced that they are working to fix the problem as quickly as possible, and have also stated that they have set up recovery tools in order to assist users in regaining their lost posts. Instagram has also advised users to create a backup file of their data, in order to prevent further loss due to glitches or other issues in the future.

It is important to remember that glitches are not uncommon in the digital realm, and that there will always be ways to recover any lost data. Despite the glitch being unfortunate, we are fortunate to be living in a time where technology is both advanced and accessible to us, allowing us to quickly respond to and rectify issues such as this.
