Chrome’s reading mode might read articles out loud

Chrome is the go-to browser for many of us, and the latest feature, Chrome’s reading mode, promises to make browsing even more enjoyable. Chrome’s reading mode will read articles out loud, allowing users to consume content while multitasking or just taking a break.

Reading mode works by stripping a webpage of its ads, auto-play videos, and anything else that isn’t the text that makes up the article. After the page loads in reading mode, users can click the “read out loud” icon to activate text-to-speech features right in the browser. Chrome will read the entire page, sentence by sentence, in a pleasant-sounding voice. Chrome has several voices to choose from, as well as a speed setting that allows users to adjust the reading speed.

This feature opens up opportunities for people with learning disabilities who may need extra help reading or just want a more efficient way to consume information. It enables people to do something else while still being able to understand what they’re reading. Not to mention that it eliminates the need to sit in a single place for a long time just to read an entire article.

Chrome’s reading mode has wide-ranging potential, as many people prefer to listen to content rather than read it. Podcasts have become increasingly popular over the years and with Chrome’s new reading mode, it’ll be possible to listen to articles as though they were podcasts.

Overall, Chrome’s reading mode is an amazing feature and is sure to change the way users consume online content. For users who require extra help when it comes to reading, this feature could be particularly helpful. It’s a great way to multitask and make more efficient use of your time when surfing the web.
