T-Mobile unveils $100 phone plan, topping AT&T and Verizon’s highest prices

In a move that furthers the price wars among leading U.S. carriers, T-Mobile has announced the introduction of its latest plan designed to raise the bar in terms of affordability and flexibility: a $100 per month cellphone plan. Aimed at toppling AT&T and Verizon’s highest prices, the new unlimited plan provides subscribers with unlimited talk, text, and data, as well as access to T-Mobile’s growing 5G network.

The company’s main objective in introducing the plan is to appeal to budget-conscious consumers who may have previously been priced out of the market due to the prohibitively high prices of carrier plans previously offered by AT&T and Verizon. T-Mobile will look to take a large chunk out of their competitors’ customer base by offering a package that saves customers considerable amounts of money.

The new plan comes with extensive benefits, including up to five lines of service for family plans, 30GB of LTE hotspot data per line, and access to 5G and 4G LTE networks. It also allows customers to both carry over their unused data to future months and be able to stream HD-quality video.

In addition, customers will receive a selection of discounts on services such as Amazon Prime Video, Pandora and others, and can make the most of an additional 6 months of free service.

From a competitive standpoint, T-Mobile’s offering sets a new pricing benchmark and leaves other carriers scrambling to follow suit. Customers will certainly be attracted to the much more affordable and extensive package that T-Mobile is offering, one that goes above and beyond what AT&T and Verizon had previously provided.

Without a doubt, the release of the $100 a month plan is a statement move for T-Mobile, and one that will likely herald a host of changes as competitors look to respond in kind. For now, customers everywhere can look forward to unlocking the potential of more affordable and flexible plans, and can thank T-Mobile for leading the charge.
