Mobile phone users everywhere just got a big break in their monthly bills. Today, T-Mobile announced that it will offer a completely new plan – the $100 Phone Plan – which offers an unlimited talk, text and data package, plus the ability to add up to five lines for $100 per month. This plan is designed to compete with the most expensive plans from AT&T and Verizon, and is the lowest-priced complete package of any of the major carriers.
The $100 Plan includes unlimited talk, text and data for one line on the T-Mobile network. In addition, customers can add up to five additional lines for $30 each per month. This gives a family of six unlimited talk, text and data, all for $100 a month. T-Mobile’s plan also includes access to 4G LTE data speeds and unlimited data usage.
T-Mobile’s $100 Plan is a significant change for the mobile phone industry. In the past, the most expensive plans from AT&T and Verizon have often been more than twice as expensive as T-Mobile’s new $100 Plan. In addition, these plans typically require a large upfront cost for the phone, which can add up quickly for customers.
