No, you can’t play Starfield for $1 – Xbox has withdrawn the $1 14-day Xbox Game Pass trial again

The news that Xbox had withdrawn the $1 14-day Game Pass trial for its popular Starfield video game title has been met with mixed reactions from gamers. The subscription-based service offers gamers access to a library of top-tier titles for a flat fee, with the trial sum being just enough to try out the latest game from the Microsoft Xbox studios.

However, that experience will now no longer be available at a discounted rate as the trial period has once again been withdrawn, leaving fans disappointed. Many were hoping that the offer would return, giving them the chance to sample the game before committing to the full cost.

The news is part of a wider shake-up of terms and conditions for the Xbox Game Pass. Although the $1 trial offer may have been an attractive incentive to casual gamers, it was the equivalent of a free-to-play game, and in the long run it proved financially unsustainable for the company.

Although there is no longer the opportunity to get a taste of Starfield for just a dollar, there are still a range of options available to those looking to play the game. For one, the full game can still be purchased for the normal price. For those that don’t want to take the risk, the standard subscription package is still available which will give gamers access to the full range of titles that Xbox has to offer.

The loss of the 14-day trial is a shame for the many gamers who were hoping to experience the latest Xbox sensation without the commitment of a full game purchase. However, for those that want to get the most out of their gaming experience, there are still ways to access the title at the cost of the standard package.
