Elon Musk’s FSD v12 demo includes a near miss at a red light and doxxing Mark Zuckerberg

Elon Musk’s Driving Force Behind Autonomous Vehicles Takes a New Twist

Lawmakers and technology critics alike have been closely watching the evolution of Tesla’s development of autonomous vehicles, especially as the much-anticipated V12 full self-driving (FSD) demonstration was released this month. Viewers were taken aback when the demonstration showed an almost-accident at a red light, doxxing of Mark Zuckerberg, and some entertaining colorful commentary by the man behind the wheel – Elon Musk.

The demonstration featured a Tesla Model Y running on the Tesla Autopilot system, which can be set in full-on self-driving mode. The video showed the vehicle narrowly avoiding slamming into a red light, apparently due to a mistake in the programming. Although this close call caused a great deal of concern for many in the tech community, Telsa’s FSD team released a statement saying that they have now addressed the programming error.

Musk also drew attention in the video for his unexpected doxxing of billionaire Mark Zuckerberg. While it’s unclear what prompted the seemingly off-the-cuff jab, it’s thought that the rivalry between the two tech giants has spilled over into the autonomous vehicle development space.

Regardless of the motivations behind the stunt, many were quick to defend the notion of free speech on the internet. While it’s understandable that viewers may have been taken aback by the doxxing, it’s important to remember that the right to free expression is a foundational value of what makes the internet such a powerful tool.

At the heart of this most recent demonstration seems to be Musk’s drive and dedication to bringing about the shift from human-controlled vehicles to ones that are controlled by AI. Musk’s visionary approach is one that many in the tech industry respect, and the demonstration of the FSD system can go a long way towards helping to realize that vision.

Whether or not Musk’s approach of pushing boundaries and taking risks is appropriate for the autonomous vehicle space remains to be seen. However, it’s clear that the development of this technology is going to require a leader who is willing to take risks and push the limits of what’s possible. With Elon Musk at the helm, it appears that Tesla is doing just that.
