Recently, it was announced that two of the most critically acclaimed independent videogame studios, House House and Panic, are working on a highly anticipated new “super special” game. While little is known about the project at this time, both companies have indicated that the game is something they are incredibly passionate about and that it has been in the works for some time.
House House is no stranger to success, having developed the widely beloved Untitled Goose Game in 2019. Since then, the studio has earned multiple awards, including “Best Indie Game” from The Game Awards, and gained an influx of critical and commercial success.
Meanwhile, Panic has a long history of creating games for the Apple Arcade platform. Founded in 2008, Panic has worked on numerous groundbreaking titles, such as Firewatch and, more recently, the Apple Arcade exclusive, Hot Lava.
The collaboration between House House and Panic is undoubtedly one of the most exciting developments in independent gaming in recent memory. It is unclear what genre of game the studios are creating, or when the title is expected to launch. However, based on the track records of the two companies involved, it is safe to say that there is much cause for anticipation.
Fans of House House and Panic’s previous titles will no doubt watch closely as the two studios collaborate and develop their upcoming “super special” game. With such a talented team of developers working together, it is only a matter of time before more details are revealed.
