If you were one of the lucky few to make it to Panic’s first ever developer showcase, you might’ve noticed the flies, the footballs, and the very messy food. While it may sound like an odd combination, it was actually quite a unique experience.
The showcase, held in July at Panic’s offices in Portland, Oregon, ended up being quite the success. Attendees were treated to questions and answers from Panic’s development team, as well as an exclusive first look at new projects that are currently being worked on in-house. The highlight of the event, however, was the food.
As the event began winding down, it would have been easy to miss the small group of guests who had their eyes glued to the ground. Surprisingly, these were the same group of people who’d been looking forward to the food part of the show the most. And it didn’t disappoint.
The food was so messy, with large platters of barbecue, grilled cheese and mac and cheese, that it drew in an array of flies. But that didn’t stop attendees from chowing down on it all. Along with the food, Panic served up cold drinks – and plenty of Red Bull for energy.
The evening didn’t end there. After everyone had their fill of food, there was a surprise activity for the guests. Panic had set-up a football game for the crowd to play. It was a fun and active way for the developers in attendance to cool down after a long day of coding and presentations.
All in all, the Panic developer showcase proved to be an enjoyable and unique experience. With the combination of food, football, and flies, it was one event that won’t soon be forgotten.
