LG’s StanbyME is a so-so TV on a stellar stand

LG has recently released their new TV, called StandbyME, which is touted as being a revolutionary product that can revolutionize the way we watch television. On the surface, the idea behind StandbyME is certainly an intriguing one – a TV that can be left in a “standby” mode, yet still ready to be used at any time. Unfortunately, upon closer inspection, the TV’s actual performance leaves a lot to be desired.

The biggest issue with StandbyME is that its picture quality is just mediocre. Although it is still solid enough to enjoy your favorite shows, it simply can’t compare to the 4K HDR TVs offered by LG’s competitors. Similarly, LG’s attempt at creating a “smart” TV with this product has not been successful. The user interface is sluggish and confusing, making it difficult to access certain apps or to know which controls to use.

On the positive side, the main feature of StandbyME, the ability to remain in standby mode, is actually quite impressive. This allows you to turn the TV on and go directly to what you want to watch, without any cumbersome setup. It also ensures that you’re not consuming energy when the TV isn’t in use, which is great for the environment.

The stand for StandbyME is without a doubt the most appealing part of the product. Rather than the bulky, plastic stands offered by most TV manufacturers, the StandbyME stand is sleek and minimalistic. It allows for quick setup and has a modern, eye-catching look that will undoubtedly appeal to many consumers.

If you’re in the market for a great-looking TV with a modern stand, then the StandbyME is worth considering. The fact that it can remain in standby mode is certainly a bonus. However, if you’re after a more advanced viewing experience, then it’s probably best to go with a different option. The LG StandbyME is a so-so TV on a stellar stand.
