Salesforce yields to activist pressure with harsh new policies for engineers, salespeople

In recent weeks, Salesforce, a cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) software company, has come under immense pressure from activists to adhere to stricter policies for their engineers and salespeople. After years of advocating for humane working conditions, activists made a strong case to the company that they must take a firmer stance on work policies to protect their employees. After much deliberation, Salesforce has agreed to introduce a series of stringent measures that its engineers and salespeople must adhere to for their own well-being.

The new regulations will impose harsh working conditions for Salesforce employees, barring them from working more than 40 hours in a week or more than 10 hours in a day. Any additional work needs to be approved ahead of time, or else employers could risk being reprimanded or even terminated. Each employee will also be entitled to five days of paid leave every month. Those who wish to take an extended vacation will also be entitled to three weeks of paid leave.

For Salesforce’s salespeople, the new policies mandate that all products must be sold ethically and require the company to be transparent in terms of how products are advertised. This includes that salespeople must be completely honest about the features and benefits of any products they are selling, and any deceptive practices will be punished. In addition, the company has also incorporated measures to enforce worker safety and made it easier for concerned employees to report any violated policies or safety issues.

These measures come at a time when worker rights and safety have become extremely important in society. Salesforce’s new policies demonstrate that the company is serious about protecting their employees and guaranteeing them a safe working environment. While some have raised concerns about the potential financial implications of these new regulations, Salesforce’s commitment to ethical practices and responsible policies will likely ensure their success in the long run.
