Tango Gameworks CEO Shinji Mikami to leave studio

It has been revealed that Shinji Mikami, the CEO of Tango Gameworks, will be leaving his studio at the end of this year. Mikami-san is best known as the man responsible for the development of the popular horror game, The Evil Within.

Mikami-san announced his departure in a post on his official blog, saying that after much consideration, he has decided to leave Tango Gameworks to pursue other interests outside of the video game industry. He also took the opportunity to thank all of his fans, friends, and colleagues that had supported him during his tenure as CEO.

Mikami-san will not be leaving the industry completely, however; the post finishes off with his intention to start a new company in a different, more familiar direction from Tango Gameworks.
