Google TV’s new update adds dedicated destinations for Movies, Shows, Family and Español

In a move to make television viewing simple and organized, Google TV launched a new update that adds dedicated destinations for Movies, Shows, Family, and Español. Google TV users can now quickly access newly released movies and television shows right from the main home screen, allowing them to quickly catch up on the latest content.

The ‘Movies’ tab hosts movies from Google’s own library and gives users access to titles from Google Play Movies & TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and other major streaming services. Home also contains latest movie trailers, casting news, and celebrity interviews. The ‘Shows’ tab hosts popular TV shows from most online streaming services. These shows are now conveniently accessible from the main home screen.

The new Google TV update also includes a ‘Family’ tab for kids that is tailored for family-friendly TV shows and movies. Parents can easily set up what kids can watch and access family recommendations from Netflix and other channels.

The fourth tab, titled ‘Español’, is dedicated to Spanish language content and provides access to movies, shows, and series that are popular in the United States, Puerto Rico and other Latin American countries. This tab gives viewers the chance to catch up on the best Spanish content.

Google TV’s new update is an exciting advancement in streaming and television. Consumers are now able to quickly access the newest movies and shows without having to search through multiple menus. The dedicated tabs make it even easier to find content that is tailored to their interests. With the new update, Google TV has made streaming and television viewing a more enjoyable experience.
