How To Undo iOS 16’s Most Annoying Changes

In September 2020, Apple released iOS 16 – the latest version of their much-loved mobile operating system. Featuring improved security, updated visuals and new features, iOS 16 is a great upgrade that was highly anticipated by Apple fans. However, some of the changes made to iOS 16 are quite annoying, so we’re here to give you a few tips on how to undo the most annoying changes.

The first annoying change made to iOS 16 is the removal of the Messages app in favor of iMessage. Apple felt that with the introduction of group messaging, users would no longer need the Messages app so they removed it and replaced it with iMessage. Unfortunately, this means that if you want to send text messages, you have to open the iMessage app every time. Fortunately, you can undo this annoying change by downloading a replacement text messaging app from the App Store.

The second annoying change is the removal of the 3D Touch feature. 3D Touch was a great way to quickly open apps or access shortcuts with a single touch. iOS 16 replaced it with Haptic Touch, which works similarly but is not as powerful as 3D Touch. Fortunately, you can undo this change by downloading a 3D Touch-like app from the App Store, such as Aurasense.

The third annoying change is the way widgets are now handled. iOS 16 locked widgets to the Today view, meaning you can no longer easily access them from the home screen. Fortunately, you can undo this change by simply downloading a third-party widget app from the App Store, such as Widget Wizard.

Finally, the fourth annoying change is the way screenshots are handled. iOS 16 changed the screenshot feature to make it less user friendly. You must now take two screenshots instead of one and they will be saved in different folders. Fortunately, you can undo this change too, by downloading a third-party app that simplifies the process, such as Screenshot Plus.

Overall, iOS 16 is great but there are a few annoying changes that can be easily undone with a few quick steps. With the right apps, you can undo these changes and enjoy the same great iOS experience you did before the update.
