Elden Ring gets an anticipated feature that’s massively underwhelming

For many gamers, the upcoming action-adventure RPG game Elden Ring from acclaimed developer FromSoftware holds a high level of anticipation and excitement. With the game set to be released sometime next year, fans were eager for news and updates about the game’s features and content. So when the developers announced a new feature for the game, expectations were high – but what everyone got was a massively underwhelming experience.

The new feature – multiplayer support – came as a surprise to many who had expected something more impactful and innovative for a game with such hype behind it. The feature is limited to two-player co-op and does not offer any real competition or other expansion of the game’s experience. Fans were left questioning why FromSoftware chose to focus on such a mundane feature instead of something different and more expansive.

The decision of the developers could be due to the fact that they may be aiming to replicate the success of the recent online action-RPG hit, Monster Hunter World, which also had only two-player online support. Monster Hunter World was able to succeed despite its minimalistic online support due to its well-developed solo content and comprehensive co-op system. Elden Ring, however, may have a difficult time competing with games that have more comprehensive online support.

While it may disappoint some fans that a more innovative feature was not included, Elden Ring does have a vast solo campaign and vibrant world that should be an engaging experience. It remains to be seen if the multiplayer support will be enough to satisfy fans, or if the feature will be a minor part of the game that is quickly forgotten. Nonetheless, most fans still have high hopes for the game and look forward to what it will bring in the future.
