FromSoftware, the renowned game development studio behind hits like Dark Souls and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, has recently announced the next installment in their long-running Armored Core series. Armored Core VI will continue the franchise’s focus on giant mechs, intense PvP matches and a deep customization system.
The Armored Core series is known for delivering intense mecha combat coupled with a deep customization system. Players are able to customize their Armored Core machine in a variety of ways, from weapons and armor to the frame and even its color scheme. This customization system is what made the series popular and the new installment only promises to deliver more of it.
In addition to customization, the franchise has become known for its intense PvP multiplayer battles. These battles can range from 1 on 1 battles to large-scale team battles which can involve up to 8 players. Players can even customize their own AI units to fight alongside them as well.
The newest game will also offer a single-player campaign, however, details on it have been scarce. Although, rumors have it that there will be parallel stories to follow as well as dozens of missions throughout the campaign.
Armored Core VI promises to be an exciting entry in the series, bringing with it more of the intense mecha combat and customization fans have come to love. The game is set to be released in 2021 and will be available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.
