Google Search is adding new ‘Perspectives’ and ‘About this author’ features to help users verify info

As technology continues to advance, it has become commonplace for people to turn to the internet for answers to all their questions about any number of topics. As a result, the internet has become home to an abundance of information – some of which can be unreliable or even false. To combat this problem, tech giant Google has recently announced the addition of two new features, “Perspectives” and “About this Author”, to its search engine results pages.

The new “Perspectives” feature will provide users with an accuracy rating for the results they receive when looking up specific topics. When hovering over the label, users will be able to access an overview of the topic. This means that, with the help of this feature, users can ensure the reliability of their results before they begin their browsing and also make sure they are getting the appropriate level of accuracy.

In addition to “Perspectives”, Google is also introducing an “About this Author” feature to its search engine results page. This feature will provide users with more background information on the authors of articles they come across when searching. This feature will help to increase the level of trust between the reader and the author in hopes of increasing the accuracy of online information.

Google is hoping that by providing users with these new tools, they will be able to make more informed decisions about the information they come across. Though these tools are a step towards a more reliable online world, researching multiple sources and facts-checking still remains an important step.

Google’s new “Perspectives” and “About this Author” features are an attempt to provide a greater level of accuracy for users when researching particular topics. It is a step towards improving the overall quality of information on the internet and helping users make informed decisions.
