Are you one of the many Apple users eagerly waiting for the release of the highly anticipated upcoming operating systems, iOS 16 and iPadOS 16? Good news! You no longer have to wait for the official release of either of these operating systems as you can install the public beta of both iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 on your Apple device. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to get started:
1. Sign up for the Apple Beta Software Program: To install either of the iOS public betas, you first need to sign up for the Apple Beta Software Program. You can do so by visiting beta.apple.com and signing up with your Apple ID.
2. Enroll your device: Go to the ‘Enroll Your Devices’ page and enter the device’s IMEI or serial number. You can find it by going to ‘Settings’ and checking the ‘General’ page. If your device is compatible with the latest versions of iOS and iPadOS, move on to the next step.
3. Back up your device: To ensure that none of your data is lost during the installation of the public beta, it’s important that you back up your device before you make any changes. You can do this by either using iTunes or Apple’s iCloud.
4. Download the iOS beta profile: After backing up your device, it’s time to download the iOS public beta profile. This can be done by opening the Safari browser, visiting the Apple Beta Software Program website and downloading the profile from there.
5. Install the iOS profile: Once the profile is downloaded, go back to ‘Settings’ and select ‘General’ page. Tap on the ‘Profile’ tab and select the profile to install it on your device. After installation, restart the device.
6. Download the iOS public beta: Congratulations! You have successfully enrolled your device for the public beta. Now, you can download the iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 public betas from the Software Update page in ‘Settings’. Just tap on ‘Download and Install’.
That’s it, you’re done! You can now enjoy the new features and improvements of the latest iOS and iPadOS versions on your device. However, it’s important to note that the public beta version is still in development and can contain bugs. It’s also not recommended to install it on your primary device.
