April Fools’ Day 2023 – it’s the day for all of us to try our best to fool our friends and family for a bit of hilarity each and every year. Whether you like to play jokes or are the butt of them – it’s a fun part of our year that we always look forward to. But, this year the best jokes and pranks had to be even funnier and more creative than usual, as 2023 was the ultimate April Fools’ Day. Here are some of the best ones:
1. Scientists have identified a way to make plants “giggle” when they’re tickled. Human’s everywhere got to show off their green thumbs with this can’t-miss prank!
2. A company announced they created a robotic clone of the Queen of England that could be rented out for a day. It was a cheeky way to celebrate British Royalty.
3. Burger McDoungey’s burger-flipping robots caused the fast-food chain to become the talk of the town when it was announced that they would now be bringing food directly to customers in the form of drones!
4. The famous search engine, Google announced that they had developed a new “Talker” system which could answer questions in a human-like manner.
5. Finally, a new virtual reality video game was released this April Fools’ Day, allowing players to become the stars of their own cooking show!
These were some of the best pranks that were in circulation for April Fools’ Day 2023. But, there were a few pranks that didn’t go down too well.
1. A company claimed they had developed a “lie detector” computer game, which was met with a lot of backlash and criticism.
2. Someone tried to fool the public by claiming that a popular musician had died, only for it to be hoaxed and spread rapidly by social media.
3. One prankster announced the false discovery of an ostrich-riding tram, sending Twitter into a frenzy.
All in all, it was an entertaining day, full of hilarity, humour and a few blunders too! Hopefully, we will be able to up the ante in April Fools’ Day 2024. Until then, here’s to 2023 – the best April Fools’ yet!
