How to change the region on an HP OfficeJet printer in 57 easy steps (printer companies hate this!)

1. power off your printer by pressing the power button.

2. Unplug the power cord from the back of your printer and wait for about 10 seconds.

3. Reconnect the power cord back to your printer.

4. Insert a paperclip or a similar small metal object into the small hole on the back of your HP OfficeJet.

5. Push in the paperclip and hold it for about 3 seconds and then release.

6. Connect your printer to your computer via USB.

7. Wait while the system recognizes that your printer has been connected.

8. Select “Start” on your computer and open “Control Panel”.

33. Select the “Add Printer Region” button on the bottom.

34. Select the region that you would like your printer to be set to and select “OK”.

37. Select the “System Settings” menu on the left side.

38. Select the “Country/Region” menu on the right side.

39. Select the region that you would like your printer to be set to.

40. Select “OK”.

43. Choose the “Language Settings” menu on the left.

44. Select the language that you would like your printer to be set to.

45. Select “OK”.

46. Select “Save” at the top of the window.

47. Select the box next to “Set this region as default” if you would like your printer’s region to always be set to this setting.

48. Select “OK”.

49. Select “Save” at the top of the window.

50. Select “Restart the printer” at the bottom of the window for your changes to take effect.

51. Select “OK”.

52. Wait for your printer to power off and then power it back on.

53. Ensure that the region has been set correctly.

55. Disconnect the power cord from your printer.

56. Wait for about 10 seconds and then reconnect the power cord your printer.
