Hacking has been part of the internet for as long as it has existed, and it’s most certainly not going away anytime soon. And unfortunately, hackers have recently been exploiting a flaw in one of the world’s most popular website building platforms – WordPress – to gain access to millions of sites.
The flaw is related to a WordPress plugin called “Elementor,” which allows users to design webpages. Elementor is one of the most widely used WordPress plugins, and millions of users rely on it to create stunning webpages.
Unfortunately, hackers were able to easily gain access to these sites by exploiting a flaw in the plugin. Once they gained access, they were able to gain complete control of the sites, meaning they could potentially do anything they wanted to the sites, including deleting data and installing malicious code.
