Netflix is taking its original content production to a whole new level with its upcoming project, a live reunion special to be released on April 16, featuring the cast of its recent hit series, ‘Love is Blind.’ This special event spotlights the ten singles who took part in the show’s dramatic relationship experiment conducted in an experimental “pod” system, where the participants conversed with each other only through voice, without ever seeing each others faces.
What seems to be unique about this particular reunion is that not only will the cast be coming together in the same physical space, but also that the viewers will be able to watch this special while still interacting with the show’s participants as it airs. Yes, Netflix promises an interactive experience so that fans of the show can engage with the cast by asking questions and sending in words of encouragement. It could be the first of its kind experiment in terms of the type of engagement such a real-time special can offer to viewers.
The show follows the journey of the participants from getting acquainted to making big decisions such as weighing out the pros and cons of marriage. At the reunion, the fans of the show expect to see the cast revisit the moments that left them zapped on the edge of their seats, such as when the couples met for the first time.
