The Indian workspace interiors platform OfficeBanao, who specialise in helping companies to design and furnish their offices, has recently secured a Series A funding of $6m through Lightspeed Venture Partner India. The funding is expected to help OfficeBanao accelerate product development, enhance their platform capabilities, as well as expand their presence in India.
Headquartered in Gurugram, OfficeBanao offers turn-key services for workspace interiors. Through the platform, companies can easily access a portfolio of interior design options – from furniture to fixtures, wall art to lighting, carpets to seating – all within a single dashboard. The team also offers a 1-on-1 interior consultant service to walk customers through the process of selecting the right product and setting up their office. The platform also provides project management and installation services so customers don’t have to worry about the hassle of office setup.
This new round of funding comes after OfficeBanao had previously raised $1.2M in seed round earlier this year. This included investments from angel investors such as Deep Kalra, former CFO of Makemytrip, an Indian online travel agency.
According to Lightspeed, the funding is in line with their strategy to back innovative product companies, such as OfficeBanao, in India. They think that OfficeBanao has made great strides towards creating a one-stop shop for work-space design. They are confident that this funding will allow OfficeBanao to continue in their mission to help companies create productive and inspiring workspaces.
The co-founders of OfficeBanao are similarly positive about the funding. According to them, the support from Lightspeed will be instrumental as they work to make OfficeBanao the go-to platform for companies looking to furnish their offices.
For now, OfficeBanao has offices in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru and is looking to expand further into other cities in India. With the help of Lightspeed, OfficeBanao is well on their way to becoming the most comprehensive workspace interior platform in India.
