The Indian workspace interiors platform OfficeBanao has just secured 6M from Lightspeed, one of the preeminent venture capital firms in the country. This marks a new milestone in the evolution of OfficeBanao, which was established in 2018.

OfficeBanao offers innovative office solutions for corporate interiors, ranging from customizing furniture to managing entire office projects. In its mission to revolutionize workspace design, OfficeBanao’s technology-driven platform provides clients with end-to-end services from design, curation, and interior project management. The platform also aims to provide an easier and more affordable way of executing corporate interior projects in comparison to traditional interior designers.

The 6M funding from Lightspeed, which has previously invested in leading business-to-consumer companies including Grofers, Cure.fit, and Meesho, will allow OfficeBanao to expand further while investing more in technology and research. This funding round, which was a mix of equity and structured debt, was led by Lightspeed’s Siddarth Pai and Bhaven Sawant.

Simran Chawla, Founder & CEO of OfficeBanao, thanked Lightspeed for its trust and belief in the potential of OfficeBanao. “We understand the challenge of creating perfect workspaces for the ever-evolving needs of the corporate world. Our technology-driven platform will make corporate interiors more efficient and cost-effective.”

OfficeBanao hopes to revolutionize the way workspaces are designed and managed by leveraging over 25 years of combined experience from within its team of interior designers, technologists and project managers. The company has worked hard to bring the best of both online and offline as it seeks to provide customers with a seamless experience.

The Lightspeed funding will allow OfficeBanao to immensely expand its services. Chawla stated that the additional capital will help to bring the very best in workspace design to customers. “We plan to use the capital to expand our team and operations while continuing to focus on the customer experience. We are looking forward to taking our products and services to the next level in terms of technology and design,” he said.

The latest funding round also allows Chawla to set OfficeBanao apart from traditional interior designers who are used to relying on off-the-shelf products. With its technology-enabled platform, the company is able to curate customized solutions for its corporate and commercial clients.

The future looks bright for OfficeBanao as it continues to innovate and expand with the support of Lightspeed’s venture capital. By leveraging both online and offline resources, OfficeBanao is sure to become the leader in workspace interior design solutions in India.
