The Elder Scrolls 6: everything we know so far

The Elder Scrolls 6 is one of the most highly-anticipated titles in the gaming industry. Fans of the acclaimed fantasy franchise have been clamoring for a sequel since The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, which was released back in 2011. It has been nearly a decade since then and there have been some tidbits of information leaked and officially released. In this article, we’ll take a look at everything we know so far about The Elder Scrolls 6, so you can be sure you’re up to date on the latest news!

The Elder Scrolls 6 was officially announced with a brief teaser trailer at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in 2018. The trailer showed the classic Elder Scrolls logo, accompanied by some mountains and a faint narration in the background. That’s it. While it didn’t give away much information, the teaser was enough to get fans excited.

Gameplay and story details for The Elder Scrolls 6 are scarce. The developers have remained tight-lipped about the direction and setting of the game. What we do know is that it will take place in a new region called Tamriel. The region is mostly unknown to players and will be explorable. Along with a new region, the game is expected to feature improved graphics and might have some sort of online component.

Although the game’s development has had its share of hiccups over the years, it appears to be on track. Bethesda has confirmed that the game is in production and they have been steadily hiring developers since early 2020. This signals the developers are committed to releasing The Elder Scrolls 6 as soon as possible.

The Elder Scrolls 6 doesn’t have an official release date yet, but industry experts speculate the game could be released sometime in 2021 or 2022. While that might seem like a long wait for fans, Bethesda will more than likely use the time to ensure the game is as close to perfect as possible.

The Elder Scrolls 6 is an ambitious title and Bethesda will take its sweet time bringing the game to its completion. In the meantime, fans can expect to see more teasers, gameplay trailers, and other announcements as we inch closer to the game’s official launch.
