Microsoft has big changes in the works for Windows 11 – and one just arrived

As Microsoft continues to shape the future of computing, the company is rumored to have big plans in the works for Windows 11 – the latest version of their iconic operating system. And while many of these changes are still firmly under wraps, we’ve just seen one such alteration arrive in the form of a brand-new look and feel for the Windows 10 interface.

The update brings a much-needed overhaul to the personal computer, giving users the ability to customize their home screens in a variety of ways for a fresh, individualized experience. On top of this, a new set of “modern” icons have been added to the mix, along with an optimized Start menu and more intuitive navigation.

While this is certainly a welcome change, Microsoft is also focusing heavily on perfecting the security of their OS, with the aim of preventing cyber attacks, identity theft and other malicious activities. Windows 11 promises to offer an even higher level of protection, with enhanced security protocols in place and the introduction of a feature called ‘Windows Hello’ – an authentication system that uses facial recognition and biometric markers to grant access to the user’s computer.

Naturally, there’s still plenty more to come from Microsoft as they continue to develop Windows 11 – but for now, the aforementioned improvements are certainly a positive step in the right direction. With the upcoming release of the new operating system, PC users can look forward to a much more modern experience, featuring improved functionality and all the latest security features.
