Amazon expands Bedrock with conversational agents and new third-party models

As Amazon continues to grow into the world’s largest e-commerce retailer, the company is taking a big step forward in artificial intelligence (AI) technology. On August 5, 2020, Amazon announced it was expanding its AI-powered Bedrock platform to include conversational agents and new third-party models. This expansion provides yet another way for Amazon to leverage the platform to make shopping easier and faster for customers.

The conversational agents, powered by Bedrock, will enable customers to ask and interact with automated customer service agents that understand natural language. Customers will be able to ask simple questions such as “What time does the store close?” to more complex inquiries like “Can I get free next day delivery?” The AI will be able to respond accurately to these questions without relying on pre-programmed responses, allowing customers to get their questions answered quicker than ever before.

Amazon is also bringing in third-party models toBedrock in order to provide customers with more personalized recommendations. The models will use advanced AI algorithms to understand a customer’s preferences and recommend relevant product and services based on that information. This will allow Amazon to provide customers with a more personalized shopping experience and potentially convert more customers into loyal, repeat customers.

The expansion of Bedrock with conversational agents and new third-party models is a major step forward for Amazon’s AI capabilities. This technology will enable Amazon to deliver better customer service, more personalized recommendations, and better accuracy when customers search for products. With this new technology, Amazon is sure to continue its reign as the top e-commerce retailer for years to come.
