As the show’s executive producer Jared Bush recently put it, “This is a story stocked full of adventure, drama, and secrets. The epic lightsaber duels that have been teased are not simply versions of past sequences. The cast has promised that the lightsaber choreography seen in The Star Wars: Acolyte will reach heights that have never before been seen. New techniques and combat styles are set to be introduced, throwing Jedi masters and warriors into an intense showdown of skill and technique.
According to actress Elena Kampouris, who plays the show’s lead character Ae’o, the duels will feature incredible action and intensity. She has described them as “electric, beautiful, fierce, and brutal.” Additionally, the duels will be realized through a combination of digital effects and martial arts-inspired choreography, making for a highly polished and immersive experience.
The cast has also commented on how the duels bring an important emotional aspect to the show.
