If you’re a big fan of hip-hop artist Cardi B and happen to have an extra $100,000 laying around, you can now buy her infamous microphone that she recently threw at an audience member. The microphone is now up for sale on eBay, and the bidding starts at a whopping $100,000.
Cardi B recently made headlines after an incident during her performance in Tampa, Florida. Cardi, who has been known to be a fiery and passionate performer, was less than pleased when a fan of hers threw a cellphone onstage in the middle of her set. The rapper then threw her microphone in the direction of the fan in response. This, of course, has since become an internet meme sensation.
The fan has since taken to eBay to post her microphone for sale, calling it the “meme of the year,” and stating that all proceeds will go to charity. Although it may seem excessive to ask someone for so much money for a popular meme, the seller has stated that the hefty price tag is due to the item’s sentimental value rather than its worth.
At the time of writing, there are no bidders, meaning that no one has actually made an effort to pay for the microphone yet. However, that doesn’t mean it won’t eventually sell. If you’re a die-hard Cardi B fan and love a good meme, perhaps you should consider dropping the big bucks for a piece of modern pop culture history. Besides, the proceeds will be going to charity, so it’s a win-win situation.
