Warhammer Age of Sigmar RTS release date revealed along with new faction

Warhammer Age of Sigmar fans were in for a great surprise as the release date for the exciting new real time strategy game (RTS) set in the Warhammer universe was revealed recently. The game, which is being developed by Creative Assembly, the studio behind Total War and Alien: Isolation, will be available for PC, Playstation, and Xbox on August 4. Along with the announcement of the release date, a new faction was revealed – the Eldritch Council.

The Eldritch Council, or the “Lords of Magic”, hail from the realm of Azyrheim and are composed of powerful sorcerer lords. They work in concert with the Sigmarines created by Sigmar himself to further enhance the power of the Stormcast Eternals – the powerful warriors of the realms.

The Eldritch Council will be the new playable faction in the game, alongside the Ages of Sigmar’s existing Stormcast Eternals and Khorne Bloodbound, a faction dedicated to the gods of the Blood God Khorne. The game promises to be an exciting mix of strategy and resource management, as players create and manage armies from each faction in order to battle for control of the vast and magical realm of Azyrheim.

Players will be able to take part in intense battles, as well as exciting quests, while using a whole range of heroes, units, and spells. Multi-layered strategy elements will let players find unique ways to conquer the world.

Be sure to pick up Warhammer Age of Sigmar RTS on August 4 to experience the thrilling adventure, and join in on the magical battles.
