When Disney+ released a first look at their upcoming animated series The Bad Batch, expectations soared as fan favorite Ahsoka Tano returned to the small screen. Now, Lucasfilm has released a new clip featuring the beloved fan favorite that showcases an exciting, if chaotic, mission involving a squadron of confused and malfunctioning droids, and the hijinks it has set off.
In the clip, we are treated to a glimpse of Ahsoka Tano in her newly acquired Riot Gear as she joins a squadron of Malfunctioning Separatist B1 battle droids being operated by her fellow rebels. The droids fail to obey orders, leading to confusing and humorous chaos as they fly off in different directions and seemingly end up in random places. It seems Ahsoka is the only one able to control the droids, as she and her team end up allied with a massive Separatist-controlled super tank.
The tank makes for a formidable opponent; however, eventually, Ahsoka is able to use her wits and diplomacy to outsmart them and escape. The clip’s end reveals both Ahsoka and her team on their walkers, having succeeded in getting away from the confrontation unscathed.
The action-packed clip highlights Ahsoka Tano’s incredible skills. It is a great teaser for The Bad Batch, as it shows that Ahsoka has undergone a major transformation from her time on The Clone Wars to her time as a full-fledged rebel and skilled fighter. Fans of the animated series are sure to love her antics and be excited to see what other cool missions she engages in during the upcoming show.
