Microsoft could be planning to infuse Windows 11 with AI in every corner

For over 40 years, Microsoft has led the charge in innovation for personal computing, and with the yet-to-be-released Windows 11, the company could be taking the next step forward by infusing the OS with AI (Artificial Intelligence) in every corner.

The report originated with a suggestion from Microsoft partner, Accenture, that the company should be looking into ways to make the Windows OS smarter and more intuitive with deeper AI-driven features. The idea is to take the Windows platform to the next level by building an adaptive, personalized, and secure experience for users that can be anywhere in the world.

Microsoft has already dabbled in bringing AI features to Windows in its operating system. Cortana, the AI-powered digital assistant, was part of Windows 10, and the company has also incorporated AI algorithms into its Office suite to help with document editing, organization, and language translation.

It is believed that with Windows 11, Microsoft will increase its AI features even further. AI may be used to improve the speed and accuracy of voice commands, to better recognize objects and people in photographs, and to enhance user-interface features such as pop-up notifications.

Microsoft is also exploring ways to use AI to serve specific tasks such as video editing and 3D printing. For example, it has reportedly been working on a project called “Dream Studio” which uses a combination of AI, machine learning, and natural language processing to aid in video editing.

Naturally, Microsoft would need to ensure that any AI features added to Windows 11 are both secure and compliant with data privacy regulations. Doing so would be an important part of bringing the next-generation of Windows to market, while also ensuring the safety of all users.

It is too soon to tell if Microsoft is indeed planning to incorporate AI into Windows 11, but if the company is serious about modernizing the platform for the next generation of users, it would be wise for them to invest in the technology sooner rather than later. AI promises to make the Windows experience more enjoyable and productive for all, and could help the OS remain competitive against its rivals for years to come.
