Starfield has so much content that Bethesda’s Pete Hines still hasn’t finished after around 160 hours

As one of Bethesda Softworks’ most ambitious upcoming games, Starfield has been building a lot of hype and anticipation since its first announcement. This open-world space exploration title has been a passion project of Bethesda’s creative director, Pete Hines, and he hasn’t held back his enthusiasm when talking about the project. Recently, Hines expressed that the sheer amount of content in Starfield has kept him busy, as he has around 160 hours into playing the game and still has yet to finish.

Starfield players will take on the role of an adventurer who visits various different planets. As they explore and discover different themes, gamers will be able to customize their playstyles and this customizability will take hours upon hours to conquer. From the variety of planets and creatures to the massive array of tasks and objectives, Starfield offers a deep and sprawling experience that can take days to appreciate and explore.

As well as a massive single-player experience, the team at Bethesda have incorporated a number of multiplayer elements that will engage players even further. Group activities such as raids, competitive multiplayer, and even larger scale battles will be available to give Starfield a more systemic universe. The game features an inventory, trading, and crafting systems too, layering on further depth and complexity for players to discover and experiment with.

It makes sense then why even after clocking around 160 hours into Starfield, Pete Hines is still yet to complete the game. Like any quality open world title, Bethesda Softworks has placed a huge emphasis on narrative, story, and immersive game-play mechanics over bottlenecking players with achievements and missions. Starfield provides enough content for gamers to stay engaged and motivated, and exhibits why it is one of Bethesda’s most anticipated titles to date. With a confirmed release date of November of 2021, Starfield will be one of the first titles to be shown for the upcoming 8th generation of consoles. After experiencing the expansive and robust content that Hines has already experienced, one can only imagine what could potentially be coming when the game is officially available.
