Baldur’s Gate 3 devs already discussing further content, but need to “figure out what we want to do next”

The anticipation of the release of Baldur’s Gate 3 has been high since it was announced in 2019, and fans will be happy to hear that the developers at Larian Studios have already begun discussing possible content for the future of the game.

In a recent interview with PCgamer, Creative Director Swen Vincke revealed that the team at Larian have already been talking about what their next moves should be with Baldur’s Gate 3. While there is no set plan for content yet, he did mention that they are exploring “a whole bunch of ideas”.

Given the overwhelming popularity of the Dungeons and Dragons property, Vincke and his team have a treasure trove of content to explore for the game. From a story perspective, the writers at Larian have decades of lore, stories, and characters to play with.

From a gameplay perspective, the developers have the tools to create a completely unique experience within the Baldur’s Gate universe. The turn-based combat system, the interactive world, and other mechanics can all be tailored to create custom content.

This means that the possibilities are endless for the future of Baldur’s Gate 3. This could mean new classes, races, characters, stories, dungeons and more. Although Vincke did not go into specifics, he did mention that the team were “just beginning to figure out what we want to do**next**”.
