Oppo’s new rival to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip to launch globally ‘soon’

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip is one of the most talked about foldable devices of 2020. Now, the Chinese company Oppo is looking to enter the foldable phone market with a rival device to the Galaxy Z Flip.

Reports have been circulating for months that Oppo is set to announce a foldable phone soon. Earlier this week, Oppo officially confirmed that the device will launch globally sometime soon.

Sources claim that Oppo’s foldable device will be a direct competitor to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip. Oppo claims that their device will be a “more advanced” and “affordable” alternative to the Galaxy Z Flip.

So far, no specific details about the foldable phone have been released. Speculations has it that Oppo’s device will be available in two different sizes – a 6.5 inch and 8 inch model. Reports also suggest that the device will come with a Snapdragon 8xx series SoC processor, 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage, and a dual-lens rear camera system.
