Just when you thought the game Among Us couldn’t get any better, the game developer InnerSloth is set to release its first-ever hide ‘n seek mode for the game on December 9th.
For those unfamiliar, Among Us is an online social deduction game where players take on the role of either a crewmate or an imposter. As the crewmate, players must identify the imposter and root out the traitor in their team by completing tasks around the game’s map. As the imposter, one must conceal their identity while making sure none of the crewmates uncover their nefarious works.
Now, with its upcoming hide ’n seek mode, players will be able to enjoy a more team-oriented approach to the game. The new mode will pit 9 to 10 players against one another in an intense game of hide ‘n seek across the entire map.
One person will be chosen as the seeker, while the other players have to hide among trees, vehicles or other hiding spots scattered across the map. The seeker will count to a certain number and then begin their search for the players that have attempted to conceal themselves. This time, the crewmates are working together to remain hidden for as long as possible, and the imposter is working alone.
The new mode is sure to bring an exciting twist from the usual Among Us game mode and will allow players to strategize and cooperate with each other in a completely new and unique way. Even just watching the others play hide ’n seek could be incredibly entertaining and fun. Plus, the game mode can even be played with the existing maps, so players won’t have to worry about learning a new map to enjoy the mode.
