Google Chrome now supports passkeys for everyone

On October 1st, 2019, Google Chrome announced a new feature that will make it easier to protect user’s web browsing. This feature is called Passkeys and is available to all Chrome users.

With Passkeys, users can easily create a unique password or code to lock their browser every time they leave it. This means that anyone accessing the computer will have to enter a password in order to access any sites. This feature comes in handy if you want to prevent unwanted people from accessing your browser, such as when leaving your computer unattended in a public place.

To activate Passkeys, all you need to do is head over to the Chrome settings and head over to the “Advanced Settings” tab. Here, you will see an option to enable passkeys. Once you’ve done that, you can start creating your passkeys. Depending on your preference, you can create one or multiple passwords per browser.

The passkeys are also visible in the “Manage Password” option of chrome where you can modify and delete passwords at any time. You will also receive an email everytime someone accesses your chrome.

Apart from the convenience, this feature also helps users avoid the hassle of forgetting passwords. Google Chrome will now remember passkeys even when your computer crashes or when the system needs to be refreshed. So, you don’t have to worry about finding a pen and paper to write down your passwords!

Overall, Google Chrome’s new feature, Passkeys, is a great tool to help users protect their web browsing. With this simple, yet enhanced security measure, users can now add an extra layer of security while they browse the web.
