Ring is requiring a subscription for more camera and alarm features

In an effort to protect its customers and make the most of its products, Ring has recently announced changes to its service plan that will require a subscription for extra camera and alarm features.

The main change that subscribers will experience is the removal of some previously included features and the addition of new features that are only available to subscribers. This switch has been implemented to provide users with a better, more secure home security experience.

The new features include an unlimited number of cameras, a 24/7 option for professional monitoring, the ability to store and access video for up to 60 days, and a discount on additional Ring products.

For customers who already have Ring cameras and alarms, these new subscription features won’t cost anything extra if they already have one of the subscription plans. For customers who don’t already have a subscription, the cost will depend on the plan and number of services that they choose.

The cost of the basic plan is $3 a month per camera and includes the unlimited camera feature, and professional monitoring for up to 24 hours. The Plus plan is $10 a month and includes all of the features of the basic plan, plus the ability to store videos for up to 60 days. The Protect plan is $100 a year and includes all of the features of the Plus plan, plus the discount on additional Ring products.

For customers who are already Ring subscribers, the change in service plans and additional features may seem intrusive. But, the decision to require a subscription for these additional features and services is intended to protect customers, reduce false alarms and make the most of their home security system.

Overall, although the move to require a subscription for additional camera and alarm features may seem intrusive to existing subscribers, it is intended to protect customers and provide them with the highest quality home security experience.
