Vigilante hackers fix Black Ops III, and other TC news

In the age of technology, there’s always news related to hacking, cyber security, and technology crimes going around. Recently, vigilante hackers have taken it upon themselves to successfully fix an issue with the game Black Ops III and other tech controversies that have been making the rounds.

The issue with Black Ops III was an issue that the developers haven’t been able to resolve despite months of trying, and it left the game in a state of unplayability, prompting many gamers to be frustrated. It was finally two vigilant hackers – known as ZeraTron and GlitchingFerret – who solved the problem. Working tirelessly over a period of two days and nights, they managed to fix the game and post a video showcasing their success. The video quickly went viral, earning them huge kudos from the gaming world.

This stay of a vigilante hacker isn’t the first of its kind in recent memory. Recently, a vigilante hacker was able to discover a security flaw in Gmail that enabled anyone to reset a Google account password. After discovering the issue, she responsibly reported it to Google’s security team who then released a patch to fix the issue. Many have praised her efforts and her work has since been included in Google’s bug bounty program.

Apart from these stories, there is also the recent controversy surrounding the popular messaging app Telegram, which was accused of allowing terrorists to use the platform for communications. However, tens of millions of users quickly came to its defence, citing that the accusations were false and that they enjoy the privacy options it provides. It is yet to be seen how this controversy will impact the longevity of Telegram next time.

All in all, the success stories of vigilante hackers, like the success of fixing Black Ops III and the recent controversy, show that the tech world is still in a state of flux, and with the vast size of the online community, it’s likely that these kinds of stories will continue to dominate tech news for the foreseeable future.
