Lego is rolling out the welcome wagon and inviting us back to Jurassic Park with 5 new sets and a lot of excitement. The Lego Jurassic World trio – Indoraptor Rampage at Lockwood Estate, T. rex Escap and Carnotaurus Gyrosphere Escape – are being released in June, and a massive set featuring the iconic Isla Nublar gates is on its way in July.
The new sets celebrate the 25th anniversary of the original Jurassic Park film and feature exciting scenes from the Jurassic World series, giving fans and collectors alike the chance to bring their favorite moments from the movies to life in Lego.
The T. rex Escape set includes minifigures of Claire Dearing, Owen Grady and the T. rex, which stands about 8 inches (20 cm) tall, with a 3-in-1 “breakout” scene. All sets also come with new dinosaur figures and an array of accessories. The Indoraptor Rampage set, for example, includes Owen, Mills Lockwood, an indoraptor dinosaur and a moving, motorized Ankylosaurus.
Finally, the biggest set of them all, the Lego Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Indoraptor Rampage, tops off the collection. This set displays the epic showdown between the Indoraptor, Claire, Owen and Blue in the Lockwood Mansion, complete with fossilized Amber and a lab that can lift and contain the dinosaur within it.
And if that’s not enough excitement, Lego is also giving us one big pile of poop – figuratively, of course. Lego has decided to make the Jurassic park movement a TRUE family affair by introducing toddler-friendly toy sets. The sets come with Lego DUPLO figures and can be used to create simple play scenarios for young ones who haven’t yet mastered the classic Lego building skills.
Lego fans, both big and small, can now join in the Jurassic Park fever, with their favorite characters, amazing dinosaurs and lots of new, exciting sets to pick from. So if you’re feeling a little adventurous, dust off your building blocks and get ready to go back to Jurassic Park.
