Dave Filoni Basically Confirms That Big Star Wars TV Crossover Is Still Coming

Star Wars fans around the globe have been eagerly waiting for news about a long-rumored big-screen-level crossover between the multiple live-action TV series that have recently been released. After months of speculation, the Chief Creative Officer of Lucasfilm, Dave Filoni, has finally confirmed that the much-anticipated TV crossover is indeed still in the works.

In an interview with the official Star Wars website, Filoni revealed that the potential for a big Star Wars TV crossover, like the one recently hinted at by showrunner Jon Favreau, is definitely something he wants to explore. While he didn’t provide any specific details about what form the crossover would take, his enthusiasm for the idea seemed to indicate that it’s still very much on the table.

For fans of the various Star Wars spinoff series – The Mandalorian, The Bad Batch, and upcoming shows such as Ahsoka and Rangers of the New Republic – the words are welcome news. Given the meteoric success of these shows, it’s no surprise that Disney is looking to capitalize on the momentum and bring these characters together in an epic crossover.

Of course, fans will have to remain patient to find out the specifics of this crossover, but just knowing that it’s in the works is enough to keep us excited. What characters will appear? Which villains will be crossing paths with our heroes? So many questions still remain – and only time will tell what’s in store.

In the meantime, fans can focus on the steady flow of new Star Wars TV and film content that’s coming our way over the next few years. From The Mandalorian’s second season and The Book of Boba Fett to the planned Cassian Andor series and the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi spinoff, the future is looking bright for Star Wars fans. And now we can add a big TV crossover to our list of things to look forward to.

Of course, while the thought of a massive TV crossover is exciting, there’s always a chance that something could go wrong and derail the plans. But as long as Filoni and the rest of the team at Lucasfilm remain focused and dedicated, Star Wars fans will almost certainly get to experience this crossover at some point in the not too distant future.
