It appears that fans of Ubisoft’s iconic Assassin’s Creed series have some exciting news. A leaked video has surfaced showing off what looks to be footage from the upcoming installment of the franchise.
The footage was leaked online on the popular streaming site Twitch, and shows a character donning a hood and cloak in an unknown location. Fans quickly theorized that it was the game’s protagonists as the character has similar features to those seen in the previous games.
The footage is relatively short, but suggests more than a few interesting plot points. For instance, it appears that the brand new Crackenvault faction, recently debuted in the game’s lore, will be present in the new installment. Other tidbits that can be gleaned from the video include the presence of a middle-Eastern-inspired world and the return of naval battles players are all too familiar with.
Of course, the source of the footage remains unknown and Ubisoft has yet to comment on the video. That said, based on the attention the footage is getting and the excitement it seems to be stirring amongst fans, we expect a full official reveal of the game soon.
