AirPods Pro with USB-C are supposedly on the way

In recent days, rumors have been circulating that Apple, the tech giant, is gearing up to release a new version of its popular AirPods Pro earphones. This new model is purported to have a USB-C charging port rather than the usual Apple Lightning port.

The new AirPods Pro with USB-C are likely to be released sometime in 2021. A move to USB-C makes sense for Apple, as the standard has become increasingly popular over the past few years. USB-C is much faster than its predecessor, USB-A, and is also made to a more current and durable standard. This means faster charging, allowing you to power up your AirPods quickly and conveniently.

At this point, it is unclear exactly when the AirPods Pro with USB-C will come to market. Some reports suggest that Apple is aiming for a launch in the second quarter of 2021, but that is still speculation.

It is also unclear whether the new AirPods Pro will be a complete redesign, or just a modification of the existing AirPods Pro. If Apple does decide to go for a redesign, then there is potential for improved sound quality, a more durable frame, and other features such as active noise cancellation.

USB-C is becoming more and more popular by the day, so it is no surprise that Apple is planning to introduce a new version of its AirPods Pro with USB-C charging. The tech giant is looking to bring its products in line with the current standards, and this could be a step in the right direction. Even if the changes are purely cosmetic, the AirPods Pro with USB-C could give consumers more flexibility by ensuring that their earphones can be quickly and conveniently charged with other USB-C equipment.

We will have to wait and see exactly what Apple comes up with, but it appears that a USB-C version of its popular AirPods Pro is on the way.
