MultiVersus’ open beta is shutting down, but the game is set to return in 2024

The popular game MultiVersus is set to end its open beta on December 10th, 2021, but players can take solace in the fact that it will return in 2024!

MultiVersus has been gaining popularity over the past few months as a unique competitive game. It’s a mix of card and board game mechanics paired with a collectible card game. Players battle it out in a muti-dimensional arena comprised of different game boards of multiple genres. It’s a strategic fast-paced game that can be both fun and intense!

The development team hasn’t given many details about exactly why they’re shutting down the open beta. They said they intend “to focus resources in improving the game quality and broadening the baseline.” This likely means they are planning on more features being added, bugs to be squashed, and potentially new game modes being integrated.

The clock is ticking for those who have yet to try out the game as the open beta period rapidly approaches its end date. The game has been well received and if it returns as planned in another three years it should be even better! This being said, the team plans to post regular updates on their development progress over the coming months, so we’ll be able to see how the game is progressing and what changes they have made.

It’s important to note that when the open beta ends players will no longer have access to their progress and before the official launch any progress made will not carry over. That being said, there should definitely be rewards for coming back when the game releases and the developers have promised that more details on those rewards will be released in the near future.

The road to 2024 is a long one, but if the developers keep up their promised updates and deliver a great game on launch then the wait should most certainly be worth if for MultiVersus fans. In the meantime many other competitive games can also be found that offer a similar experience.
